This is an illustration I did for a co-worker's Christmas storybook. The story is about a little Polar bear named Orison who befriends Santa. Here Santa is flying away from the North Pole while a nervous little Orison peeks out of the sleigh. My favorite part is the tiny yeti eating the tree. Image Copyright Cassandra Pelkey 2007

I couldn't pass anything off as my own if I wanted to--not to people who know me anyway. I have some fluency with words, but none with art or music, and I envy those who do.
Your painting of Santa & Orison has a permanent home as part of our Christmas display. We've been talking about keeping them out all year long to enjoy.We were excited to receive them.
